There's been some rumblings of a possible Kirby spinoff for awhile now. The rumors first started that the project was going to be a TV series. But it appears that it's not a movie. Here's the vague synopsis from Production Weekly:
A spinoff of the Scream franchise centering on Hayden Panettiere's character Special Agent Kirby Reed, the sole teenage survivor of the Second Woodsboro Murders, known as the Woodsboro Massacre Remake, the highest body count and most violent massacre of all Ghostface killing sprees.
Obviously there isn't much known about the project currently. Scream 7 is still priority one.
Kevin Williamson's production company Outerbanks is listed to be in charge.
