Say what you will, I suppose, but Scream creator Kevin Williamson has confirmed via Collider that Stu Macher, one of the killers in the original movie, is, in fact, dead.
"No, he's dead. I think that started because of the college scene, the frat party scene because he's standing in the background. He just came to visit set that night."
So there you have it, despite years of speculation and even the words from Matthew Lillard's (Stu) own mouth, Stu Macher is dead.
But...never say never?
