After SCREAM 4 was released to the theaters, then it finished its run at the box office with $97 million Worldwide on a $40 million budget.
We never thought we would see the day of SCREAM 5 happening. Me, personally, I was fighting for it to happen, along with the other fans.
I have never given up, although I felt the chances were slim that we would receive a SCREAM 5. Especially with Dimension Films teasing about a possible SCREAM 5, most likely to test waters.
Which Dimension Films sequel are you most looking forward to? #Piranha3DD, #ScaryMovie5, #HalloweenIII , #Scream5

Fast-forward 11 years, and Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group have bought the rights to the SCREAM franchise, and they launched a SCREAM relaunch.
Synopsis of Scream 5:
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, Calif., a new killer dons the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town's deadly past.
The new installment played it dangerous, with so many twists and turns, and the directors didn’t shy away.
The writers, Guy Busick, and James Vanderbilt, absolutely nailed SCREAM 5 for a new generation, mixing the fix and the new generation.
Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Marley Shelton, and David Arquette reprised their roles as Sidney, Gale, Deputy Judy Hicks, and Dewey. Seeing Billy Loomis back in Sam’s mind was a nice surprise.
Newcomers Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter) and Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter) did an impressive job with Melissa as the leading character and Tara as the supportive character.
Mikey Madison (Amber), Dylan Minette (Wes), Jack Quid (Richie), Mason Gooding (Chad), Sonia Ben Ammar (Liv), Jasmin Savoy Brown ((Mindy), and Kyle Gellner (Vince) were great newcomers.
Mindy was a hilarious character who cracked me up, along with Richie. I was not expecting Richie and Amber to be the killers, so the directors, Tyler, and Matt did a great job there.
It made me sad that Dewey died in this one, but one of the original characters had to go, or SCREAM 5 would have been playing it safe.
Going back to the original SCREAM house and seeing it was surreal, especially with Sidney opening the door and the way the camera angle pointed at the house, it was great.
Brian Tyler who composed the movie did an awesome job with the composing. He studied all of the original movies and made great soundtracks for SCREAM 5.
The way the movie ended showed that there will be more stories for Sam, and I’m beyond excited to see what they do for SCREAM 6.
I hope Neve, and Hayden Panettiere return for SCREAM 6.
Owning the DVD is nice as I don’t have to worry about the movie being taken away from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. It’ll always be kept on my shelf at any time I want to watch it.
I watched the deleted scenes, and I wish they were kept in. It added more to the story, but that’s okay. There are only so many scenes you can put in a movie.

Go ahead and purchase the movie today! It’s so worth it.
