In a tweet that I viewed as out of the left-field, screenwriter Simon Barrett (You're Next, The Guest, Blair Witch) has denied any involvement in writing Scream 5.
The tweet seemed random, but apparently, Barrett has been getting asked a lot. He's even listed as the Scream 5 writer on IMDb (we know how "reliable" that is). So a non-news day remains a non-news day with a twist.
