Rumors have been swirling recently that the directing duo of Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (Radio Silence) may be stepping away from the helm of Scream 7 after directing Scream (2022) and Scream VI. What's more? Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U director Christopher Landon might be stepping in to direct Scream 7! Well, it appears that the horror news giant Bloody Disgusting is confirming these rumors.
As for the Christopher Landon rumors, Bloody Disgusting has heard that Landon has indeed been in talks to direct Scream VII, and we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
We've also heard from a few sources that production for Scream 7 will fire up just as soon as the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are over. All [living] cast members are expected to return.
As much as I'd love for Landon's next project to be Happy Death Day 3, I'll gladly welcome him to the Scream team.
