Cliffhanger endings are always hit or miss when it comes to franchise installments. The idea was first teased in this series with Scream 4, but we didn't end up getting that ending.
So, in the state of pure curiosity, would you be opposed to Scream VI having a cliffhanger ending that leads into Scream VII?
