Rumor: Scream 5 Casts David Arquette & Courteney Cox?

News on the Scream 5 front has been a little slow (thanks, COVID-19!), but some interesting tidbits are starting to trickle in. Now keep in mind, these are simply rumors. Nothing more.

Some fans have noticed that new Scream directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have started following Courteney Cox and David Arquette on Twitter. Now, this is in no way a casting announcement. They could simply be following the two because they're fans themselves.

Obviously, take this as a huge grain of salt. Also, did I mention news has been slow? This could all hint that this fifth movie is indeed a follow-up to Scream 4.

There's also a tiny rumor suggesting that Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse (of TV's Riverdale) are being eyed for parts in Scream 5...we'll see.
