WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN...
So what happened was...the original film gets done, everyone reviews it, and thinks it’s awful. But they spend so much time thinking about it, that when it’s time to reshoot stuff, many of the actors are now unavailable. The first film conceived that Christina Ricci, Skeet Ulrich, and Jesse Eisenberg are complete strangers who meet by accident in the middle of the road because of a car crash, originally Skeet Ulrich is in that car, not Shannon Elizabeth. There was never a club backdrop, instead, they were featuring an already existing Wax Museum. The only remaining bits from the first version (included now) consisted of Milo Ventimiglia as the jock with a secret and Kristina Anapu as his girlfriend. And the scenes where Shannon Elizabeth calls out a name as she walks the pier...before she was calling for Skeet Ulrich, later changed to Mya –- meaning they redubbed her lines. Those no longer in the theatrical release version of the film include Skeet Ulrich (replaced by Joshua Jackson), Omar Epps, Corey Feldman (replaced by Scott Baio), and Mandy Moore (replaced by Mya).
